Dr. Richard is thrilled to be in Fort Collins, CO. He is married to Binita, his beautiful wife; they have a son, an adorable boy named Elliot and two wonderful daughters, Simran and Aurelia. Richard is proud to run this terrific dental practice that has been in Fort Collins for over 20 years. Richard feels extremely privileged to be part of such a fantastic dental office with such brilliant staff.
Richard was born in Yorkshire England. He grew up in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and in Kansas City. Richard graduated cum laude from the Pembroke Hill School in 1999. He then went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with distinction and honors from the University of Kansas.
He scored in the top 0.3% in the nation on the National Board Dental Examination on clinical science. Richard graduated cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, one of the top-ranked dental schools in the United States. He is a graduate of the implant preceptorship and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the world’s largest dental implant organization. Richard also has special training in gum grafting to treat areas of recession and gum disease. He has provided mission work as far away as the Philippines. He loves playing sports, staying fit, and flying.
Introducing Dr. Jesse James Gonzalez, a valued addition to the Foothills Family Dental family. Hailing from the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Gonzalez spent his formative years in the charming town of Harlingen, Texas, where his fascination with dentistry first took root. This enduring passion continued to flourish as he pursued higher education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where he successfully earned his Bachelor's degree in Bio-Medical Science.
After graduating, Dr. Gonzalez then began his dental education at the top-ranked dental program at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry. In May of 2020, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Gonzalez's comprehensive training and diverse experiences have shaped his dental philosophy, centered on treating people, not just teeth.
With an unwavering commitment to continuing education, Dr. Gonzalez constantly expands his dental knowledge, investing over 100 hours each year to stay up to date with the latest research and evidence-based procedures. He takes immense pride in developing personalized treatment plans that prioritize individual needs, all within a warm and welcoming environment. Rest assured, when under the care of Dr. Gonzalez, you can expect nothing less than the highest quality dental care.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Gonzalez is happily engaged to his fiancée, Shelby. Together, they share a loving home with their two delightful Newfoundlands named Wesley and Nala.
As Dr. Gonzalez eagerly embraces his new home in Fort Collins, he looks forward to becoming an active member of the community alongside Shelby, Wesley, and Nala. During his leisure time, he indulges in his passion for adventure, actively hiking, fly fishing, scuba diving, competing in triathlons, and he is soon to obtain his skydiving license.
