Dr. Kevin Pass, DDS
Dr Kevin Pass graduated with a dental degree at the age of
23 from the University of Manchester, England, in 1977. He established four new dental offices
in the UK. Subsequently, in the
early 1980’s, Dr Kevin experienced dental practice in Perth, Australia. In 1984
he moved with his family to Cape Town, South Africa, to escape the UK climate
and to practice outside of a socialized medical system. While in South Africa,
Kevin became involved with teaching dentists and technicians the techniques
involved with using porcelain veneers and resins to restore the beauty and
function of patient’s teeth. He gave continuing education programs throughout
South Africa including at the Universities of Witwaterstrand, Stellenbosch and
Pretoria.
Upon his return to the UK, Kevin continued to lecture and
teach across Europe. He was invited to speak in Sweden, Ireland, Greece,
France, Ireland, Italy, Holland and throughout the UK. Eventually, a US dental
company sponsored Kevin’s move to the USA in 1992.
Kevin was appointed an Assistant Professor at the University
of Missouri, Kansas City where he taught Operative Dentistry. He was also
awarded a DDS from UMKC in 1996. Concurrently, Kevin was on the faculty of
University Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, as a
member of the Aesthetic Dentistry Department, where he conducted research into
dental adhesives. He was a member of the International Association for Dental
Research on Cosmetic Dentistry.
In 1997 Kevin returned to full time practice specializing in
restoring complex restorative problems and smiles. He also took many hours of
continuing education and was one of the first general practitioners to offer
implant placement and restoration. Kevin built up a large dental office in
Overland Park, Kansas City.
Richard Pass, his son, practiced with him for two years
before relocating to Colorado and starting a family. Subsequently, Kevin and
his wife decided to move to Fort Collins to be close to their family and
grandchildren. Kevin’s daughter, Catherine, is now at Creighton Dental School,
Omaha. His other son, William, has a degree in neurobiology and will be starting veterinary school at CSU this year.
